Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway could team up for an exciting new thriller
It doesn’t get much better than Ocean’s Eight star Anne Hathaway. The actress injects a level of joy and sincerity into everything she does, and we’re huge fans. Same goes for True Detective star Matthew McConaughey. He’s such an incredible actor and we love pretty much everything he’s involved in. So, putting Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway together seems like such a great idea! So great, in fact, it’s already been done. While this is true, and Interstellar was an amazing movie, we’re not actually talking about that.
We’re talking about an entirely brand new thriller that could be happening, starring Hathaway and McConaughey!
We have no idea how we got to be this lucky, but we’re not going to question it!
Deadline broke the news that that the pair could potentially be returning to the silver screen, this time for an earthbound thriller called Serenity. The details are still being ironed out, so it isn’t completely clear if it’s going to get made or not yet, but we really hope it does. Mostly because of the talent attached, and because the story sounds completely amazing. Besides our favorite star-studded duo, Serenity is written by and would be directed by Steven Knight. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s directed the movies Locke and Redemption and the hit TV shows Peaky Blinders and Taboo. The film would be produced by Greg Shapiro, whose past credits include Zero Dark Thirty and the Hurt Locker.
On top of that, the description for that actual movie sounds totally eerie and amazing.

"The project is a mysterious tale of a fishing boat captain whose past is about to crash up against his life on a small island in the Caribbean, ensnaring him in a new reality that might not be all it seems."
Needless to say, we are totally excited. This sounds like such a cool project, with such incredible talent involved. We seriously hope that everything works out and we get to see this cool project come to life.
