‘Married. . .with Children’ might be getting the ‘Fuller House’ treatment

20-somethings, hold on to your non-ironic fanny packs: Another one of our beloved ’90s TV shows is maybe getting the modern day spinoff treatment. Hot on the heels of the Fuller House, Married… with Children has officially thrown its name into the reboot mix!

David Faustino, aka Bud Bundy, reunited with his former MWC co-star Christina Applegate at the Vacation premiere and teased us with some major news: He’s developing a Married… with Children spinoff.

“Sony has it. They’re excited about it,” he told E!. “They’re working out some legal issues that we hope they work out.”

Married… with Children had a serious run on Fox for eleven (yes, eleven) seasons. In case you don’t remember, it was all about the Bundys, a satirical middle American family who were anything but gleaming, dimpled nuclear fams we were used to seeing on sitcoms of the time.

So, what exactly is this spinoff about? And will Christina Applegate be there or what?

“The idea would be a pilot for a spinoff. That’s all I can say right now,” Faustino said. “It involves me and few other people.”

As for Kelly Bundy, he says: “The whole cast, including Christina, is down to do little bits in it.” We’re optimistic!

Faustino played the character Bud Bundy in a couple of other shows like Parker Lewis Can’t Lose and Top of the Heap. Maybe they’re part of the “few other people” he mentioned? We wouldn’t mind a Parker Lewis cameo on MWC spin-off. . .wouldn’t mind it at all.
