Mark Hamill reacts to the news of Carrie Fisher’s passing, and our hearts break all over again
It’s rare to be friends with someone for 40 years, and it’s even rarer to be starring in a movie with your friends over the span of 40 years. But, that’s what happened for Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. Little did they know that back in 1977, — some 40 years later — they’d STILL be part of the Star Wars universe. That’s also why it’s so painful to hear the kind words Mark has shared in response to Carrie Fisher’s passing.
When news first broke that Carrie had suffered a heart attack, Mark was quick to take to Twitter to share his thoughts and prayers for his “space sis.” Harrison, meanwhile (who is social-media free) released a short and sweet statement. Both were really pulling for Carrie to make it through, and Mark even continued to Tweet through the Christmas holiday. In a Tweet that will FOR SURE make you cry right now, all he wanted for Christmas was for Carrie to get better.

Sadly, that did not happen, and shortly after her death was made public, Mark once again tweeted and OUR HEARTS.

We’re sending lots of love, and hugs, to Mark right now, and the whole Star Wars family. And also, to literally everyone on the planet.
