Taylor Swift’s cat Olivia Benson meets the real Olivia Benson and everything is magical
The universe knows one thing for sure about Taylor Swift: Girl loves her cats. Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson have appeared many a time on T-Swift’s Instagram, showing off their fluffy and all-around adorable existence. Swift, who’s a total TV-fanatic just like us, named Meredith after Grey’s Anatomy Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson after a Law & Order: SVU character.
So, when we learned the real-life Olivia Benson (aka, Mariska Hargitay) met Olivai Benson the cat, our hearts crumpled into a thousand tiny, tiny pieces. Olivia Benson FINALLY met her namesake, Olivia Benson! Worlds collided! Friendships were made! According to Hollywood Life, Swift introduced Hargitay (who was featured in T-Swift’s “Bad Blood” video) to Olivia last night while they were backstage at her Philadelphia concert. The two bonded like only the best of friends could bond (if your best friend is a cat, obvs) —Margitay fed Olivia a treat, and Olivia cuddled up with Margitay. AWWWW.
Swift uploaded a video of the magical event to her Instagram and narrated, “This is Olivia Benson meeting Olivia Benson, and um, things are going well so far!”
