Mario Badescu’s beloved facial spray mist almost caused a breakup

Legendary skin care brand Mario Badescu definitely helps cure breakouts…but it also might have caused a breakup.

There’s a meme floating around the Internet of an awkward mix-up involving the creators of our favorite $7 hydrating facial spray. Apparently, someone’s suspicious bae “accidentally” read some kind of communique mentioning the brand’s name in a favorable, perhaps too favorable way.

Mario Badescu was a real person who founded the salon and product line that bore his name in 1967. Mr. Badescu passed away in 1983, so this is extra weird. What can we say, jealousy makes people do crazy things. (You’d think someone who stalks their boo’s texts would also think to Google their romantic rival?)

We’re not sure of the identity of the original poster or jealous lover, but like, we’re 100% crying/laughing emojis @ this. Goes to show that people who don’t wear makeup really have zero idea about the world of skin care.

Okay, Mario’s lowkey sultry.

This mask will comfort and soothe all night. That sounds pretty romantic, actually….

So far no comment on Twitter from the “simple, gentle and effective” skincare brand. Simple, gentle, and effective: all good things to have in a relationship. Maybe this person SHOULD date Mario.

Have your own romance with Mario Badescu by visiting the salon or purchasing products online.
