This behind-the-scenes clip from “Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You” is full of puppy love
The song goes, “all I want for Christmas is you,” but let’s go ahead and specify a *you* here — Mariah Carey is obviously singing about wishing for a puppy.
Okay, so maybe when the song was released in 1994 she didn’t have a puppy on the mind, but now she does. The iconic songstress is getting ready to drop a brand new Christmas movie, Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You, and it’s all about how (a fictional) little Mariah wants a puppy for Christmas. And same, Little Mariah, same. But her parents are unsure that she’ll be able to keep up with the responsibilities of caring for a puppy and this leads Little Mariah on a puppy test run with her uncle’s dog, Jack.
Jack is not the puppy Little Mariah had in mind, but never forget all dogs are good dogs — especially around the holidays.
In this behind-the-scenes clip from the movie, Ms. Carey gushes about her own dogs. Growing up she had one, and now she has seven, and if that’s not the dream, I don’t know what is.

"They give you such unconditional love," the singer explains. "That's why I've always been so close to my dogs."
If you’re looking for a new feel-good Christmas movie — with a puppy — this holiday season, Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You is out on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital November 14th.
