“All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer, Mariah Carey has the most refreshing attitude about her breakup and we’re very impressed.
On Wednesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGenres Show, Carey opened up about her split from Australian billionaire, James Packer, and despite being sad about the end of the romance, the singer seems to really be doing well.
"Now it's a whole friggen thing," Carey told the show's host, Ellen DeGeneres about her public breakup.
Carey and Packer broke up in October and instead of shying away from questions regarding him, Carey admitted that she’s figuring it out, one step at a time.

"I think I'm doing well… Everything happens for a reason," she said. "Things are the way they are."
How refreshing to hear a celebrity say they think they are handling a breakup well instead of claiming they are totally fine and it’s no big deal.
DeGeneres then asked the mother of two about her upcoming E! docuseries, Mariah’s World, now that the trailer is out. In the teaser, Carey is trying on wedding dresses for her almost-marriage to Packer, and that’s when DeGeneres points out that he never want to be on the show.
"He didn't want to be in the docuseries at all. And yet he’s in it. You see him," DeGeneres said in a questioning tone.
"Allegedly… that's what I'm saying," Carey answered. "It's kind of difficult to talk about at this moment, so I'm just going to compliment you on these decorations once again, because they are fabulous and I'm here."
While Carey did change the subject, we respect her honesty in her answers and the rawness of her feelings towards her ex.
The singer later had more light-hearted moments on the show including, presenting DeGeneres with an elf suit and of course rocking a crimson robe with diamonds while chatting — which is typical Carey fashion.
