Margot Robbie transformed into Tonya Harding for a movie, and the internet has lost its mind

If you thought her transformation into Harley Quinn was impressive, just wait ’til you see the internet’s freakout of the moment: Margot Robbie’s mind-blowing transformation into Tonya Harding for the upcoming biopic I, Tonya.

The 26-year-old newlywed was spotted on set earlier this week sporting oh-so-early-’90s fluffy bangs, spiral curls, and high-waisted, stonewashed jeans, as well as body padding (and, seemingly, some facial prosthetics) that believably transformed Robbie, one of the most glamorous actresses of our time, into Harding, a disgraced former figure skater famous for plotting an attack on Nancy Kerrigan during the ’94 Winter Olympics.

This transformation comes just weeks after we last saw Robbie at her glamorous, rustic-chic best — as a badass bride at her Australian wedding — so it’s more than a little jarring to see her take on some of the most unfortunate fashion trends from the ’90s.

So in other words … fans. are. shook.

Many appreciated her dedication to pulling off Harding’s iconic look.
