Margot Robbie shows us her beauty routine—”American Psycho” style

Sometimes we look at celebrities like Margot Robbie and wonder, “How?” How does their skin glow like the sun? How do their undereyes look like those of a newborn babe? We have so many questions and we’re just now starting to get answers – thanks to Margot Robbie herself.

For Vogue, Margot gave us an inside-look at her spookily specific morning routine while mimicking American Pyscho‘s Patrick Bateman. She flawlessly begins by using the loo and simultaneously staring at her framed Hamilton poster (complete with an autograph, of course).

If her face is a bit puffy in the morning, Margot will hold two cold spoons dipped in lapsang souchong (a black tea) over her eyes. She does so while meditating and working on her core, even though she was “born with a six-pack.”

While showering with various potions, Robbie comically comments, “I can’t remember the last time I washed my hair. It basically cleans itself now.”

Her post-shower regimen includes a face mask eerily similar to the one used by character Patrick Bateman. While she waits for this product to work its magic, Margot reveals that she uses a facial toner infused with small-batch placenta to give her a third trimester glow without those pesky food cravings.

“There is an idea of Margot Robbie, some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory,” the actress concludes. “And though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable, I simply am not there.”

In a plot twist we did not expect, the morning routine clip ends with a dance number and the clever title “Australian Psycho.”
