Margot Robbie is opening up about the weirdness that is Harley Quinn

There’s no film set to premiere in 2016 more buzzed about than Suicide Squad. The movie, based on the DC Comics antihero team, follows a group of “super villains” organized by the secret government agency, A.R.G.U.S. The Suicide Squad performs dangerous missions in exchange for clemency. One of the characters that fans are most excited about, is Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. Walk into any comic-con around the world and you’ll find about 50 people dressed as the lovely and dangerous Harley Quinn. From the promos and photos, she looks like she’ll be doing the role major justice.

The film has some serious star power. In addition to Robbie, Jared Leto will play The Joker (surely you’ve seen his wicked look for the role). Rounding out the Squad are Will Smith as Deadshot, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, and Ben Affleck as Batman. Also starring are Scott Eastwood, Jai Courtney, and Common.

If the stellar cast doesn’t convince you to go see the movie, maybe Robbie’s description of the iconic character, Harley Quinn, will. In an interview with Cineplex, she talked about what we can expect from her in Suicide Squad.

And the actor that she really loved working with? Will Smith of course.

The second Suicide Squad trailer will debut on January 9 during The CW special DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League at 9:30 PM ET. The film will officially be released in theaters August 5, 2016. In the meantime, you can check out the Comic-Con First Look trailer for a little preview of the badassery that’s in store.
