Margot Robbie looked like a chic Hamburglar at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards, and it weirdly works
With awards season in full swing, there’s nothing we love more than seeing what looks our favorite celebrities wear on the red carpet. And few stars take more chances than Margot Robbie, who’s never afraid to experiment with a bold look…like her 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards ensemble.
We can usually count on Robbie to go for bright colors, whether she looks like a rainbow disco ball in a sparkling mini dress, or if she’s serving up whimsical vibes in a rainbow butterfly gown. She never shies away from looking like an actual fashion unicorn on the red carpet and we love her for it. But her latest outfit at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards is both classic and edgy…with a hint of Hamburglar. Yes, you read that right.
Robbie chose a strapless, black-and-white striped Chanel gown, cinching her waist with a thick beaded belt — complete with ruffles. She kept her accessories simple, with People.com reporting she added a black clutch and metallic Jimmy Choo sandals. She wore her hair in an effortless, slightly messy top knot, and tied it all together with a long black velvet bow.

See what we mean? (And no disrespect to Robbie or her stylist — we LOVE this look).
It was a big night for Robbie, who won the award for Best Actress in a Comedy for her role as figure skater Tonya Harding in I, Tonya. And though she also slayed just days ago in a long-sleeved black satin Gucci dress at the 2018 Golden Globes, we have a feeling this is merely the beginning of more gorgeous — and unexpected — red carpet looks to come.
