This is how many bridesmaids secretly hate their dresses

So your friend (or family member) is getting married! There are few things as exciting as being asked to be a bridesmaid. And with good reason! Someone you love just asked you to be a huge part of one of the biggest days in their lifetime (even if it is crazy expensive to be a bridesmaid). Congrats!

But it turns out, even though your friend may have found love, it might not be in the cards for you – at least from a fashion perspective.

According to the Daily Express via Refinery29, a whopping 78 percent of women say they didn’t like their bridesmaids’ dresses.

The study, conducted by fashion retailer Simply Be, surveyed 1000 women in the UK. The big reveal?

Almost 8 out of every 10 women said they secretly hated the dresses they had to wear in the wedding.

Why, you ask? It seems that the bridesmaids just didn’t want to be impolite or hurt their friend/relative’s feelings. We totally get that.

Actually, 86 percent of women in the survey said that you should accept whatever choice the bride makes without complaining. And only 2 percent said they would say “No” to being in a wedding if they thought the dress was bad.

On one hand, it’s depressing how many ladies had to wear dresses they hate. On the flip side, it’s kind of nice to see how many women are supportive of their friends. So much, in fact, they’ll wear pretty much anything to celebrate the bride’s special day.

And when you’re a few glasses of Champagne deep with mascara running down your face at the reception, who really cares about the dress, anyway?!
