Mandy Moore’s words about her divorce from Ryan Adams are heartbreaking, but also inspiring
It was heartbreaking when musicians Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams announced that they were splitting up in 2015, but luckily, Moore is handling the big change like a pro. After finalizing their divorce roughly two months ago, Moore seems hard to try and stay optimistic about both love and the future.
Moore chatted with Marc Malkin from E! News, and mentioned that she’s staying strong.
“I feel great. Life is hard, man, but you know it’s all part of it and you just take that stuff and you know you use it as fuel and pour it into your work and try to make sense of all of it,” she said.
After getting married in 2009, the couple split over a year ago after irreconcilable differences — but it’s good to know that there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between the two. At the time of their split, a rep made sure to let people know that it was a “respectful, amicable parting of ways.”
“I think everything happens for a reason,” Moore said during a recent press tour. “I think I spent a good portion of the last years of my life really pouring all of my energy into my life and relationship… and now that’s sort of not part of my life anymore. It’s just not a coincidence to me that things sort of opened back up, and I’m able to focus back on myself again.”
As for Moore, she’s definitely focusing on her new projects. On September 20th, you can catch her new television drama, This Is Us, which co-stars with Gilmore Girls alum Milo Ventimiglia, on NBC.
