Mandy Moore’s “A Walk to Remember” throwback pic proves she hasn’t aged a day
Mandy Moore has been killing it lately. Her starring role in (the utterly epic) This Is Us rocked us week after week this past year, and she’s officially just been nominated for “Best Actor in a Show” by MTV. Her response to the nod was a “Walk to Remember” throwback picture featuring her holding her golden popcorn award from her MTV Movie Award win back in 2002 for best “Breakthrough Female Performance.”
She accompanied the pic with a super heartfelt message:
In 2002 I was honored with this golden popcorn trophy for #awalktoremember and now 15 years later, in a completely different chapter of my life, @mtv has recognized all of our work on #thisisus [...] Thanks for the kudos, #MTVawards. Can't wait to celebrate on May 7th
And while we’re loving this sweet sentiment, we also can’t get over one minor detail:
Is it us, or has Moore not aged a freaking day?
Seriously, just take a look at a few recent pics of her:
Okay that last one was a trick and was legitimately from 1999, but could you even tell?!
Yep, Moore might officially be the next Paul Rudd in the celebrities-who-remain-ageless department. And we just have one question: WHAT IS YOUR SECRET, GUYS?!
But, way more importantly, we’re wishing Moore the absolute best of luck at the May 7th MTV Movie and TV Awards. This is the first year MTV will be including television categories — which in our humble opinion make SO much sense, because TV is no longer the less-important kid sibling to Hollywood movies, but a super strong and powerful medium in and of itself.
ALSO, this is the first year that MTV has dropped its “male and female” sections in each category, opting instead for gender neutral awards. HERE HERE!
Moore will be up against Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Gina Rodriguez, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and, Millie Bobby Brown, so the competition will be FIERCE.
Best of luck to all — because we seriously can’t imagine life without any of you!
