Mandy Moore’s super-sized Victorian collar is a fashion risk we want to take
Bringing a bit of Old World glam to the red carpet this week, Mandy Moore rocked a black dress with a sky-high Victorian collar. And the best part? The collar was pink and velvet.
The look was definitely risky, considering it’s not every day that a royal-inspired accessory finds its way into modern American culture. But on Moore, the look was positively electric.
The red carpet-perfect frock is by London-based designer Roksanda Ilincic, who favors simple silhouettes, sculptural details, and color-blocked patterns. Moore paired the statement dress with a simple ponytail and small earrings, as well as a pair of pumps by Malone Souliers that have us swooning.
She could not be more radiant.
Also, please take a moment to admire Mandy Moore’s shoes.
The back of the shoe is open — like a mule — but the front features an elegant T-strap that’s more like a Mary Jane. Plus, that metallic piping? Too glam.
If you’re feeling particularly spendy — or have a ball to attend soon (because don’t we all) — you can get the shoes here for $585.
