This man mowed his lawn during a tornado like the truest badass who ever lived
Historically, people have gone to extreme lengths to avoid chores, from flat-out procrastination to convincing themselves that living in filth and disarray is acceptable. However, at least one person on the planet will stop at nothing to complete his to-do list: this man who mowed his lawn during a tornado.
Seriously, not even one of Mother Nature’s most destructive forces could keep this fellow in Canada away from his lawn-mowing duties. After seeing the photo that Theunis Wessels’ wife Cecilia shared on Facebook, people could not stop marveling at 1) his obvious commitment to lawn care; and 2) the fact that he appeared completely oblivious to the mayhem happening behind him.
Twitter user Ryan T captured photos and footage of the tornado forming above a field and eventually touching down in the Alberta town of Three Hills on Friday.

But it was the photo of Wessels mowing his lawn mid-tornado that got people talking (and scratching their heads in confusion).
“I literally took the picture to show my mum and dad in South Africa, ‘Look there’s a tornado,’ and now everyone is like, ‘Why is your husband mowing the lawn?” Cecilia said.
"My beast mowing the lawn with a breeze in his hair," the Facebook caption reads.
We don’t know about anyone else, but we count a total of two beasts in this photo, one that appeared to be completely lost on Mr. Wessels.
Amazingly enough, he told The Times Colonist that the tornado appears to be much closer than it actually was, adding, “I was keeping an eye on it.”
Um, sure.
Reportedly, no one was injured during the tornado, which damaged some property before eventually moving off to the east.
Regardless of what Wessels’ boldness, we don’t think anyone should try this at home.
