This behind-the-scenes video from “Mamma Mia” proves just how much we’ve missed ‘ya
Mamma mia, here we go again, and we’re not even a little mad about it. We can still recall our last summer fav movie musical (we’re talking about Mamma Mia, if you missed it), and so we’re even more excited for the sequel, which has officially wrapped filming! And while we don’t get the trailer till tomorrow, today we got a behind the scenes video, and SOS, we’re so excited we can hardly stand it.
The sequel will star Lily James, aka Cinderella, as a younger version of Donna. We need to take a minute to take our hats off to Lily James, who has now not only portrayed an iconic Disney Princess, but also a younger version of Meryl Streep. And she’s dating the Doctor. Talk about a charmed life.
We’re not, however, going to be only jumping into Donna’s past.
Amanda Seyfried, Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Christine Baranski, and Julie Walters will all be returning for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
When asked about the upcoming movie, Amanda Seyfried told Entertainment Weekly:
“Of course I want to know more about Donna. She’s effervescent and inspired and amazing and has such a spirit. Meryl brought such light to this character and then you see Lily playing Donna, and it’s seamless. The movie’s better than the original because there’s a depth to it that only comes from time.
Could we be more excited? Only if they guarantee us that they’ll make Pierce Brosnan sing again.

We’re definitely going to ~take a chance~ on this second instalment of Mamma Mia, and we’re already sure we won’t be disappointed.
