Maisie Williams said the remaining “GoT” cast will get matching tattoos if they survive the next season
We’ve watched Maisie Williams grow up right before our eyes on the hit HBO show Game of Thrones. The talented actress is only 19-years-old, but has already accomplished so much in a very short period of time. And, most impressively, she’s one of the few remaining original cast members from the first season of the show.
As the GoT enters its last two seasons, Maisie says the cast members of the final surviving characters will get matching tattoos to celebrate.
During an interview with TimeOut London, Maisie shared that the matching tats are just rumors at this point.
She admitted that she’s not even sure Arya Stark will make it to the final season.
She said, "We're all waiting to see if we do make it. I was lucky enough to be in season one, even the pilot episode. If I do make it to season eight I will get [the tattoo]. It would be rude not to!"
Maisie said she doesn’t have any insider information about the future of the show, despite the fact that she’s on it. Like the rest of us, she has to just wait and see what happens. And since we know so many beloved characters before her have already died, it’s entirely possibly she could join their ranks.
Maisie began filming Game of Thrones when she was only 11 years old. So it seems appropriate that she would choose to honor a major part of her life with some permanent ink.
Besides, she already has a matching tattoo with her onscreen sister (and offscreen BFF), Sophie Turner.
We have no idea what the special tattoo for the final GoT cast will be. Perhaps an Iron Throne might be the most appropriate?
Season 7 of Game of Thrones will come out later this year.
