MAC’s Marge Simpson Makeup and Other Cartoon Collabs That Should Exist

Ahoy-hoy, friends! Finally, MAC is stepping up to the plate and giving the people what they’ve been clamoring for: a makeup line inspired by the inimitable Marge Simpson. The collection is in celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Simpsons and I think this news is positively cromulent. Colors like Beehive Blue and Lisa’s Spikes will give you just the zazz, zork, and kapowza you’ve been needing in your life. The 10-piece collection will come complete with lip glosses, eye shadows, blushes, nail stickers, and false eyelashes and is set to hit the web August 28th and stores September 5th. Homer’s shotgun makeup applicator not included.

This got me thinking of all the missed opportunities in the world of cartoon and style collaborations. Yes, we have MAC’s Disney makeup lines, Charlotte Olympia’s Archie accessories, and SpongeBob Dunks, but there are some seriously missing pieces to this puzzle. Here are a few cartoon collabs I think someone needs to get working on post-haste:

Tina Belcher Barrettes

Tina Belcher Barrettes would give us all that little touch of sass our hair is looking for. Sophisticated, simple and oh so stylish. Be like Tina: a strong, sensual woman who knows what she wants. And what she wants is butts. I think we can all relate. Side project: a perfume called Charm Bomb.

Daria Morgandorffer Glasses

She had Harry Potter glasses before the Chosen One was even sprung from JK Rowling’s noodle. And her name already sounds designer. These classic black frames are perfect for the sarcastic and introverted gal about town. If “town” really means your room, your BFF’s room, and the local pizza joint.

Marceline’s Axe Bass Collection

It’s a bass and it’s an axe that belongs to Marceline the Vampire Queen. Everyone needs to be able to get their hands on this wicked instrument. Not included is Marceline’s amazing grunge style, but get the axe bass and you’ll be well on your way.

Judy Funnie Berets

No one is more hip than Judie Funnie and you can start to hope to dream to look half as cool after buying one of her berets. Available in purple with limited edition runs in black and green. Side project: a line of sunglasses called either FunGlasses or Funnies.
