Machine Gun Kelly has come to the defense of Camila Cabello following Fifth Harmony split
Following all the D-R-A-M-A surrounding her exit from Fifth Harmony, Machine Gun Kelly has come to the defence of Camila Cabello, the co-artist of his Billboard Hot 100 top 10 duet “Bad Things.”
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Camila Cabello had left Fifth Harmony after over four years in the band. The remaining members of the group alleged that they’d been informed of Cabello’s departure by her “representatives,” something that Cabello herself vehemently denied.
This, however, caused another response from Fifth Harmony members Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, and Dinah Jane, who said that Cabello had been unresponsive to their attempts to sort out any drama in the group.
"We called for group meetings which she refused, we asked L.A. Reid and the label to step in and try to set meetings, which again, she refused," the said. "We even went as far as group counseling which she did not show up to."
Now Machine Gun Kelly has come to the defence of his Camila Cabello.
Cabello and Kelly have worked together on the track “Bad Things,” which has been climbing the charts. The pair have been performing the track, which sees Cabello sing the chorus and Kelly rapping in the verses, at various radio tours around the country, some of which also saw performances from Fifth Harmony (when Cabello was still in the band).

Well, in a recent radio interview, Kelly said that he felt that Camila was being “picked on” by the other members of the group.
"I was behind the scenes throughout the process of being with Camila lately," he said. "Camila is such a strong person but she's an innocent, young girl, and it just sucks to feel like these people did a back turn with all these constant releasing of statements."
Kelly went on to say that the rest of the band, given that they were put together on a reality show, should be grateful for the times that they have had rather than focusing on the negativity of the current moment.
"I know Camila and there's no trickery or behind the back stuff," he said. "It was odd that it happened on the day we got our gold plaque for "Bad Things." The way that it played out wasn't great timing for someone to be looked at like, 'You did the right thing.' But I know that it was all so genuine and that none of that stuff...I'm not in that group and Camila and I have our relationship, but I don't like seeing someone like that get picked on, I guess."

Since leaving the band and releasing her own statement, Camila Cabello has yet to respond to the remaining members of Fifth Harmony’s accusations that she was unresponsive during any mediative attempts.
However, a source told Billboard that Camila “could not have been clearer about her desire to leave the group.” Indeed, there had been some signs that she hadn’t been happy in Fifth Harmony.
While we don’t know for certain what went down between Camila and the rest of Fifth Harmony, we do understand that it can’t be a pleasant or nice experience to have it all aired out on social media. We get that fans need to be informed, but it must be really hard to lose a member of a group you’ve been part of, as it must making the decision to leave said group. We just hope that all parties are doing okay and that they can manage to sort out and diffuse the situation.
