MAC’s latest collab has the Anna Wintour stamp of approval
MAC has many muses. We’ve seen the beauty brand roll out collaborations inspired by such beauty icons as Barbie, Rihanna, and Marge Simpson. When MAC’s not celebrating pop icons, they’re showing love to the fashion world with collabs with Giambattista Valli, Zac Posen, and Jeremy Scott.
MAC’s latest fashionable collab is in partnership with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund founded by Anna Wintour. (The same fund responsible for launching the careers of Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Jason Wu, and Marc Jacobs.)
MAC and the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund chose to highlight Chromat, (a 2015 finalist) with a new collection. The MAC x Chromat collab officially launches on June 29th and lasts through August 10th.
Spoiler: it’s just as gorge as you’d expect.
The Chromat aesthetic is strong, athletic, and forward thinking. MAC praised designer Becca McCharen in a press release saying,
"Becca McCharen of Chromat designs for today’s urban visionary, proudly expressing an inclusive stance on gender, tech, and athleticism. In partnership with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, MAC chose Chromat to present its first colour collection of energetic hues. Complete with Chromat’s architecturally inspired bionic 3D-print packaging, this is the future of assertive beauty."
