Plants are growing in people’s bathtubs thanks to this Lush product
Cosmetic brand Lush might have just accidentally stumbled into the plant business as well. People are reporting that after using one of Lush’s most-loved products, the Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar, plants have been growing out of their drains.
Look at that cute little sprout! Apparently the plants are coming from those beans you see in the bar. When the bar wears down and the seeds fall out, people have just been letting them wash down the sink or the shower drain, where they start growing.http://shitiseeontwitter.tumblr.com/post/141165762498
“We use organic aduki beans to create a texture in the massage bar, so that you’ve got small bead like shapes to massage the muscles,” Helen Ambrosen, co-founder of Lush, told BuzzFeed. “In order for the beans to germinate they must have been left in the shower for a few days. The results you get just go to show how fresh the ingredients really are.”
She has a point. Lush is committed to creating fresh products by hand, and this whole #showergate situation proves that the Wiccy Magic Muscles bar is, in fact, made with fresh ingredients. They’re fresh enough to yield sprouts in just a few days!
But wait, isn’t that kind of weird? Why would Lush create a product knowing that it would create mini jungles in people’s bathrooms? Well, they didn’t. It’s all in the name: This is a massage bar, not a bar of soap. According to the Lush website, the Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar is not intended for use in the shower. Reviewers rave that it’s best used to relieve sore muscles after you shower and before bed.
But if you’re in the market for a little greenery in your bathroom, now you know where to start.
