Lush is coming out with a massive 54-bath bomb launch to celebrate the product’s 30th birthday

It may be hard to imagine life before Lush bath bombs, but if you can believe it, once upon a time, people took baths that didn’t turn into a pretty, swirly work of art. We know.
Lush’s most iconic product, the bath bomb, is turning 30 this year. That’s right; three decades ago, in a small garden shed in south England, Lush co-founder Mo Constantine invented the first-ever bath bomb, and the rest, as they say, is history. Constantine was inspired by the fizzing of Alka-Seltzer tabs, and the original blend he came up with went on to become Lush’s first bath bomb, Blackberry (it’s still around today!).
To celebrate the milestone anniversary, Lush Cosmetics is launching—wait for it—54 new bath bombs. This will bring the grand total of Lush bath bombs to a staggering near-100. Many of the new launches are brand new creations, while others feature fragrances that Lush fanatics will find very familiar, as well as former cult faves.
If you’re in Austin for SXSW, you can shop the new collection at Lush’s pop-up shop and visit the brand at Booth 1219 in the Trade Show at the Austin Conference Center. For the rest of us, the new bath bombs will begin rolling out online and in stores on March 29th. See our faves, below.
