Luke Hemsworth confirmed that this “Westworld” character is alive, but it’s still super-mysterious
We have to wait forever for the second season of Westworld, so we’ll take any information we can get! The season finale left us with many unanswered questions, but luckily one of them has been answered (sorta.)
Luke Hemsworth, who played security dude Stubbs in the first season, was attacked near the end of the run, and no one was sure if he’s still alive. In an interview with HuffPost, talking about what’s going on in the Westworld universe, Luke doesn’t give up too many details, of course. But when asked about his character, it seemed like he might be around for season two.
"Physically? He’s well. He’s doing all right. Just taking a sabbatical."
Give us more details!
So wait, Stubbs got attacked by hosts but they didn’t harm him? And what does “physically” mean, Luke? Is he being psychologically tortured or brainwashed? IS HE PHYSICALLY OK BECAUSE HE’S A HOST?
Wait, we have more questions!
Is Elsie okay? Is Westworld on a completely different planet? Luke won’t answer much, and he said even if he did know, it’s not like he would tell anyone. It’s nice to know that his character is still alive (unless there are flashbacks?!), but we need to know information if we’re going to survive until the second season. Which won’t probably air until 2018!
There have been many rumors and theories about what’s going to happen in season 2, but only time will tell. What will happen to Stubbs and Elsie? Or Dolores and the Man in Black? In an interview with EW Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan hinted that we weren’t going to get answers right away.
"You’re definitely going to see the aftermath and the effects of what happened," Lisa Joy said in the interview. Her co-creator Nolan added,"We are definitely not picking up right where we left off."
One more question: is it 2018 yet?
