NOT A DRILL: Luke from “Gilmore Girls” now has a band

With Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life just around the corner (November 25th, we can’t wait, we can’t wait!), you have to forgive us for having a serious case of Stars Hollow fever. Like, anything and everything GG related gives us that warm tummy feeling you get when you drink a hot cup of coffee at Luke’s Diner and banter with the person across the table about pop culture-related issues.

Speaking of Luke (and pop culture-related issues), it turns out the actor who plays Luke, Scott Patterson, has a power blues/rock band.

As it turns out, Patterson’s love of music way predates his Gilmore Girls days.

"Scott Patterson formed his first band in third grade and started writing his own material at thirteen," Gordon's site explains. "Since that time he's compiled over 500 songs that cover all genres and styles."

Okay (hands on hips) please tell us why Luke didn’t have a band on Gilmore Girls when this was clearly the role he’s been preparing for all his life? Lane had Hep Alien! There was room for more than one main character-led band in Stars Hollow!

Still, we’re glad we know about Patterson’s musical fire now and we can watch all the clips of Luke Scott jamming out.

Here’s a clip of Scott rocking out in a classic Luke backwards baseball cap:

And here’s one to slow it down (also note, now the baseball cap faces forward):

And here’s Scott wide-brimming it (dare we hope that Gordon’s gimmick will be Scott wears like a million different hats over the course of a concert?):

Oh, and if you have a fancy birthday coming up or work at a Gilmore Girls-obsessed office, you should know that Gordon does corporate gigs and private parties, full band OR acoustic. Wahoo!
