Lucy Hale wants “Pretty Little Liars” to end in a really unexpected way

All good things must come to an end, and that includes Pretty Little Liars. While the details always seem to be up in the air about exactly when the show is coming to a conclusion (Lucy Hale was reluctant to confirm or deny anything about it) we do know that, at some point, these stories have to wrap up nicely. Or, at least, we hope. Turns out, Lucy Hale has a different vision.

Lucy, who plays Aria on the show, has been in the world of Rosewood for most of her twenties. She’s seen every crazy obstacle that’s been thrown at the Liars, so you’d think she hopes they get a happy ending, right? Wrong.

She confessed to James Corden that she’s rooting for something a little different.

“I used to say I wanted the show to end walking away in the sunset, they’re all happy, living an A-free life, no drama, right? But I don’t. I want it to end really tragically.”

While we only want good things for the Liars, we have to admit that a tragic ending would be pretty fitting for such a dramatic show. We’ll just have to wait to see what happens. The real question is, for how long?
