Aunt Hilda has been cast in the “Sabrina” reboot, and you’ll definitely recognize this wonderful face
We all remember Hilda Spellman, right? Sabrina Spellman’s aunt? The cool, funny, younger, hip aunt originally played by Caroline Rhea? Yes. Good. Well, now we know who will play Hilda Spellman in the Netflix reboot. In case you missed it, Sabrina the Teenage Witch is getting the reboot treatment. We already know that Kiernan Shipka will play Sabrina, but we have been waiting with bated breath for more casting updates. And now, we have great news! Lucy Davis has joined the cast to play Aunt Hilda.
In case you are unfamiliar with Lucy Davis’s name, you probably know her from a few key roles. She played Dawn in the original UK version of The Office. And more recently, she played scene-stealer Etta Candy in Wonder Woman. Lucy Davis is the perfect combination of endearing and comedic. She’s exactly the right actor to play Sabrina’s aunt.
Aunt Hilda is one of the two parental figures in Sabrina’s life, and she is the most relatable.
Maternal, kind, wicked — we just know Lucy Davis will nail this role. We already cannot wait to see the finished product. Though we have just a few details about the upcoming show, the cast is already shaping up to be the best.
The yet-to-be-titled Sabrina remake is a spinoff of Riverdale.
Which pretty much means the show will be laced with mystery, sexy intrigue, and a cast we will not stop be able to stop tweeting about.
Among those excited about the casting announcement? Caroline Rhea aka Aunt Hilda herself.

There has not been a release date or even an official title for the new show, so this exciting news will have to hold us over for now. Congrats, Lucy!
