Tess Holliday’s breastfeeds during photoshoot, looks chic AF

Gorgeous plus-size model and all-around inspirational human Tess Holliday is no stranger to championing various social causes, often using social media for activism. She began her modeling career back in 2010 and quickly rose to prominence with her amazing #effyourbeautystandards campaign on Instagram back in 2013. Now, Tess has taken to Instagram once again in her effort to normalize breastfeeding, sharing a beautiful snap of herself breastfeeding her new baby Bowie while getting glam for work.

In the caption, she credits the candid photo to her fiancé, Nick Holliday. She explains that the photo was taken while she was getting ready for her latest professional photo shoot for the upcoming (and much anticipated) next installment of her clothing line, MBLM by Tess Holliday for the Canadian plus-size retailer Penningtons.

Tess, as per usual, looks absolutely stunning and glamorous as she is primped and pampered for the shoot by her hair stylist and make-up artist. Adorable baby Bowie is cradled to her chest as she casually breastfeeds him while prepping for the shoot. In her caption, Tess goes on to liken the photo to an iconic snap shared by Gisele Bundchen back in 2013, in which Gisele is similarly being prepped for her supermodeling duties, looking like an actual goddess while feeding her baby.

Tess goes on to make a great point about working mamas and image standards. “Working moms come in all shapes, sizes, colors & creeds! #normalizebreastfeeding #workingmom #whorunstheworld” 

This isn’t the first time that Tess has used her large social media platform to share beautiful photos of herself breastfeeding her baby, in an effort to remove the ridiculous public stigma against it. Just a few days ago, she posted a photo taken by a friend as Tess was breastfeeding lil’ Bowie, gazing down at him lovingly. In fact, throughout her entire pregnancy, Tess was sharing beautiful photos of her changing body as she carried her baby, spreading an important message about body positivity during pregnancy.

We’re so glad that we have public figures and iconic women like Tess and actress Alyssa Milano (another noted champion of the #normalizebreastfeeding movement) who feel so strongly about dismantling damaging beauty and body standards!
