“Kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I think I sort of cheated on my wife today.” When I read the beginning of this article, I was not expecting the uplifting story that followed. Because Jason Hewlett from Salt Lake City, Utah did not actually cheat on his wife. (So don’t worry.)

Hewlett was standing in line at Target buying the mundane things that people tend to buy at Target, when he was struck by the beauty of the woman standing in front of him. “I thought, ‘Wow, some lucky guy is with her’.” But as he realized in a mere moment, the woman was actually his wife!

He goes on to explain the moment in his Facebook post — which has been shared over 200,000 times on the social media platform. “You know, it was just out of context to see my spouse at the same store, in the same line, living her life and not knowing she might be at the same place, same time, different car. There was a person between us, so I just watched my cute little Love, tried to text her stuff like, ‘Hey Hottie’ and ‘What are you buying now my Babelicious?’, none of which got her attention[…]”

And people are absolutely gushing in the comments of this post:

“This was so beautiful… awe is all I can say. God bless you both.”

Well just like Jason said at the end of his post: “Lesson of the Day: It’s good to look at those we love with fresh eyes whenever we can to remind us how lucky we are to have their light in our lives.” Awe! Now, while we’re a little unsure about whether Jason reeeeeallllyy couldn’t recognize his wife from the back is up for debate, but we’ll suspend our beliefs for a sec and appreciate this viral story for what it is: a sweet, unexpected moment for a couple.
