It’s difficult enough getting over someone you dated – but having unrequited feelings for someone whom you weren’t in a relationship can be extraordinarily challenging in its own way. When you have a relationship fall apart, you usually have caring friends and family who are there to help you deal… unlike when feelings are unrequited or even unexpressed, you’re left to deal with the pieces all on your own. The thought of ‘what if’ might linger even more because you never found out what a relationship with that person would have been like. These confessions (courtesy of Whisper) from people attempting to move on from a person they never had a relationship will give you an insight into that bittersweet reality.
