This world boasts many living legends, but Tony Bennett is one of the most prominent. He just turned 90 years old, and continues to make music and inspire singers (and non-singers) everywhere. To celebrate his 90th year on this planet, a fellow musician and friend made a special appearance…

The one and only Lady Gaga! And of course, she made quite the statement in a long black gown and black brimmed hat (complimenting her platinum blonde hair!)

The two of them have been friends for a long time, and even collaborated on an pop album called Cheek to Cheek in 2014 (which won a Grammy for best traditional pop vocal album, because they are that awesome).

For Bennett’s birthday, they celebrated in style at the Rainbow Room at Radio City Music Hall.

The best news is that they are apparently planning a follow-up album to Cheek to Cheek next year. Bennett told Billboard, “She’s so busy right now, but at the beginning of next year we’ll start doing an album.” Naturally, we can’t wait!

As if that wasn’t enough, Bennett is also planning to publish a memoir later this year, about his different experiences with musicians and performers all over the world. As well as being forever friends with Lady Gaga, Bennett was chummy with Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Charlie Chaplin and more.

Her friendship with Bennett is adorable, and the two really prove that age is irrelevant when it comes to friendship, as Bennett is 60 years her senior. #Friendshipgoals.
