Ever since its release, Pokémon Go has been making people one-track minded. It’s hard to think of anything else when your mind is constantly wondering what type of rare Pokémon might be around the next corner.

People have started adjusting to the fact that their world has forever changed (and is not populated with adorable Poké-friends IRL). For many people, this transformation has meant a lot more exercise. For others, it’s meant finding significant others who share your passion for Poké-training.

That’s right. Pokémon dates are officially a trend and we are totally on board. I mean, what better excuse for an adventure than going out and about to try and find some sweet Pokémon to love with the person you love?

And it turns out you don’t have to be the one actually on the date to genuinely enjoy seeing people on Pokémon Go dates.

It’s even starting to become the go-to for couples who usually “Netflix and chill.”

Based on the huge popularity of game-like dating apps like Tinder and the incredibly positive response people are having to Pokémon Go, it’s not a huge surprise that people are finding creative ways to combine the two. Plus, it doesn’t hurt to know that you’ve already got something in common and something to talk about if the date turns awkward at any point.

Plus, if it doesn’t work out, you’ve at least got some sweet Pokémon to keep you company until the next love adventure.
