Another day, another item to add to our “Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Relationship Goals” list. We were totally due for some news about Hollywood’s superpower couple – and today, said news comes in the form of one of them gushing about the other (which is 100% our favorite type) in the middle of their busy schedules, filming movies, gracing the covers of magazines as a family, traveling the world, and just being somehow perfect and genuine at the same time.

In the winter issue of V Magazine, out Nov. 12, dad/husband of the century Brad Pitt talks about working together with his wife Angie on the set of their new drama, By the Sea, which Jolie is both directing and co-starring in with her husband. It will be their first on-screen performance together since 2005’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith, on whose set they met and became close.

And though his first-priority job is being a husband and father to their six children – Maddox, 14; Pax, 11; Zahara, 10; Shiloh, 9; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 7 (anyone else feel old?) – Pitt is eager to work if it means teaming up again with Angie, telling V, “If I’m going to work, I want to work with my wife.” OK, all the heart-eye emojis can just give up because they’ve officially met their perfect subject.

And Pitt has no qualms about being under his wife’s management, either. In fact, he welcomes it, telling V that “Naturally I didn’t want to fail Angie’s ideas…her words…but I really had absolute faith we’d figure it out.” He also added it’s “surprising how much I enjoy the direction of my wife. She’s deceiving. Incredible intuitive, knife-sharp, and might I say, sexy at her post. I trust her with my life.”

Does anyone have a cold glass of water we can just go ahead and splash over our faces right now?
