This past week, we’ve learned that love letters can come in all different shapes and sizes. Some may even be written on a… 20 euro note?

Last Sunday, an Irish woman named Denise O’Reilly pulled a 20 euro note from her purse and realized that there was something different about it. After reading the message that was scrawled upon the currency, she discovered that she was holding an unusual love message of sorts. It romantically read: “Christy, it’s always been you! Come and find me – Megan x” Now if this doesn’t sound like something from a romantic movie, then we don’t know what does.

Ms. O’Reilly was captivated by these passionate words and immediately shared a photo of the note on Facebook:

Soon, the post went viral and started a nationwide social media hunt, causing the original post to be shared 15,000 times! Yay for the power of love!

Today, this amorous mystery has been solved, thanks to the power of the internet! Today fm tracked down Christy and got the scoop on what this note’s all about. Here’s what he had to say:

Okay… so maybe that didn’t quite end like it would in the movies, but at least this is one problem that’s been solved! And we did learn a valuable lesson: if you want to send a musician a love note, do not write it on the money you use to get into his gig.
