Louis Tomlinson’s stepdad sent one last message out from Louis’s mom, and we’re so moved
It’s been a week since One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson lost his mom to leukemia, and our hearts are still in a million pieces for him. It’s always tragic to lose a parent, and he definitely has the added pressure of grieving while in the public eye — though he seems to be moving through it like a pillar of strength.
And recently, using Tomlinson’s mom’s Twitter account, Tomlinson’s stepdad, Dan, shared one last message from her.
Hi, it's Dan. Johannah asked for me to send this afterwards. She wanted to thank you all, and to let you know that you have been amazing

right from the start. You changed Louis' life, but also her life. Your support now is as strong if not stronger than ever.

Along with his mom, we’re so freaking proud of Tomlinson for everything he’s achieved in his life so far, and it’s enormously sad that she won’t be around to see him raise his son Freddie and continue his career in music.
After nearly crying during his X Factor performance with Steve Aoki, Tomlinson sent a super simple message to his fans. Sorry…cue the tears AGAIN.
"Thank you for the incredible support."
If you look at the lyrics, his song “Just Hold On” seems to be inspired by his mom’s battle with her illness. “Where do you go when your story’s done? You can be who you want or who you’ll become. Oh, if it all goes wrong, oh, darling, just hold on. The sun goes down and it comes back up. The world still turns no matter what.”
Even though it’s super sad, we’re listening to this track on repeat.

Fueled by emotion, he really did kill it on that stage. And everyone is there for him.
