Looks like Chad from Bachelorette just got himself one-way ticket to… Paradise?

Last week we saw JoJo finally learn all about Chad on a two-on-one date with Alex. In Bachelor/Bachelorette history, it normally takes much longer than this for the villain to be sent packing — typically when people use their time to talk about someone else’s bad behavior, it actually backfires and they get sent home instead. This time, though, JoJo must’ve been already feeling something in her gut, and she listened to what Alex had to say. She also gave Chad a little bit of his own medicine, or as he likes to call it, his “honesty,” and told him exactly what she thought of him.

After it happened, she did seem to feel a little bad — he had been going through some things in his personal life (like the passing of his mother), but this is no excuse for aggressive behavior, and frankly, we’re proud of JoJo for standing up for herself and sending him packing if it didn’t feel right anymore. However, at the end of the episode, it seemed like Chad had somehow hiked (?) his way back up to where they were staying in Pennsylvania, and was knocking on the doors of the mansion, basically begging for more trouble. We’ll see what happens next week, but odds are, it’ll be interesting.

However, it looks like he won’t be back in his home state of Oklahoma for long. It turns out, he’s now a confirmed contestant for the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, which honestly sounds like a recipe for trouble! Chad, on the beach, with basically no rules and a lot of alcohol? With MORE women to compete over? I just don’t know how this one will turn out, but let’s face it, I’ll likely be watching, and tweeting.

He is joining previously announced cast members Amanda Stanton, Leah Block, Emily and Haley Ferguson, Jubilee Sharpe, and Isabel “Izzy” Goodkind, and Lace Morris (a crowd fave), all from Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor. The rest of the cast (so far) includes Sarah Herron (Bachelor season 17), Jared Haibon (Bachelorette season 11), and Carly Waddell (Bachelor season 19). We’ll see what happens!

Bachelor in Paradise premieres August 2 on ABC.
