This is what it looks like when you don’t cut your nails for THREE years
Have you ever wondered what would happen if you just grew out your nails for an indefinite period of time? Well, wonder no longer. Simone Christina hasn’t cut her nails in three years (3!), and she has an entire Instagram account to prove it. They’re six inches long, and we have to give it to her — she always has her nails painted and looking gorgeous.
Simone apparently won the 2016 Most Voted Hand Model of the Year on nailslong.coms (yes, that is a thing), and we can totally see why. She’s playing by her own rules. You gotta respect her for that. Here are a few pictures of her super-long nails.
We have so many questions. How does she type? How does she wiggle her phone out of her back pocket? How does she eat French fries? It looks like she’s getting on with her life just fine, though. She’s totally embracing her mile-long nails.
We have to admit we’re both terrified and amazed by Simone’s achievement. Imagine being the nail technician and seeing her walk in! We’re sure she tips them pretty well.
Simone chatted with The Sun about how she takes care of those lovely talons.
"I use two coats of nail hardener. For the first coat I us XXL Nail Thickener by Essence [$2.24] and for the second coat I use Ultra Strong Nail Hardener [$2.50] also by Essence. It's also helpful to apply cuticle oil like every second day," she said.
“Luckily, German schools don’t have dress codes, so they don’t cause any issues there. PE is a huge problem, though. I can’t play volleyball, basketball or anything similar,” she continued. “My PE teachers are always trying to convince me to cut my nails. They’ll never succeed in convincing me – but that makes my grades in PE really bad.”
We feel like her nails should be featured in an episode of American Horror Story. Just sayin’.
