Lizzo’s statement about ideal body types in her TikTok workout video is so on point
If you’ve yet to log on to Lizzo’s TikTok account, you’re missing out on some Grade A clap backs. Although we wish Lizzo didn’t have to clap back at any type of negativity, we must admit that listening to her comebacks hypes us up like nothing else. So, when Lizzo decided to address those who criticize her for not having their idea of an “ideal body type,” Lizzo crafted a TikTok that should be nominated for Best Short at this year’s Oscars.
“So, I’ve been working out consistently for the last five years,” Lizzo states in a voiceover dubbed over clips of her working out. “It may come as a surprise to some of y’all that I’m not working out to have your ideal body type. I’m working out to have my ideal body type.”
And what body type is that, you ask? “None of your fucking business,” Lizzo says. “I am beautiful, I am strong, I do my job, and I stay on my job.”
As a wise woman once said, “truth hurts,” haters.
Lizzo continues, “So, next time you want to come to somebody and judge them, whether they drink kale smoothies, or eat McDonald’s, or workout, or not work out, how about you look at your own fucking self and worry about your own goddamn body?”
“Health is not just determined on what you look like on the outside,” she reminds us. “Health is also what happens on the inside. And a lot of y’all need to do a fucking cleanse for your insides. Namaste. Have a great day.”
For those who have ever seen Lizzo in action, the proof is in the pudding, people. So, let’s squash that “health” concern-trolling, shall we?

Love her. Last year I saw her perform a full set on stage in 107 degree heat and didn’t miss a beat. I adore her too.

Anyone can watch Lizzo’s onstage performance onstage and see that she is CLEARLY healthy, strong, and has amazing stamina. Lizzo literally plays the flute as she performs. Y’all hate seeing Lizzo love herself and that is so fucking weird.

Lizzo is our queen for many reasons, but her body positivity and ability to serve a comeback are two of our all-time favorite traits (besides being an incredible musical artist, fashion icon, classical flutist, etc.). But hey, if we all just kept to our own business and gave Lizzo nothing to clap back at, that would be be okay with us, too.
