Lizzo Debuted Electric Green Hair in New Instagram Photos

We can always count on Lizzo to brighten up our social media feeds, but her latest Instagram posts have us quite literally seeing stars. On Wednesday, July 22nd, she blessed our feeds with what might be her most vibrant look yet, debuting electric green hair—but that isn’t even the best part. She’s also covered in glittery gold stars with coordinating neon makeup, and we’re just gonna say it: It looks good as hell.

First, the “Juice” crooner shared two truly ethereal photos taken by artist and creative director Quinn Whitney Wilson.

Lizzo wrote in her caption, “When they say ‘ima star’ this is what they mean,” and of course, we fully agree.

We aren’t sure what we love most. There’s her mermaid green hair, which she’s wearing in a loose, curly bun; her shimmery blue eyeshadow; her flawlessly winged black liner; and the kind of highlighter glow that only astronauts can see. Then, there’s the fact that she’s basically naked, save for some strategically-placed gold stars.

It’s all so good, and that’s without even mentioning her coordinating nails, which are painted an ocean blue with matching neon stars.

Lizzo also gave an in-motion glance at her stunning look, sharing a video set to the sounds of TikTok user TheRealLifeMannequin’s “Black and Fine Challenge.” No word on whether the shoot is part of a campaign or simply just Lizzo having a little fun with glam during quarantine, but the entire look is straight out of another galaxy.

She’s also serving up Sailor Neptune vibes, which makes sense given that Lizzo is a well-documented Sailor Moon fan. Though Sailor Saturn was her favorite character growing up, these shots definitely resemble Princess Neptune, whose powers come from the ocean and the sea.
