Disney released the first trailer for its live-action Kim Possible, and we have one MAJOR question

Here’s the sitch: Disney has released the first trailer for its live-action Kim Possible, but we have one MAJOR question. Where! Is! Rufus! In the trailer, which dropped on YouTube December 7th, actress Sadie Stanley takes on the role of crime-fighting cheerleader Kim Possible in the fight against villains Dr. Drakken (Todd Stashwick) and Shego (Taylor Ortega) alongside her trusty sidekick, Ron Stoppable (Sean Giambrone). Notably absent? Our favorite naked mole rat, Rufus.

Disney announced in February that it would be reprising the series in a live-action Disney Channel Original Movie. The 2002 animated series followed Possible (Christy Carlson Romano), a high school cheerleader who just so happened to fight crime in her spare time, alongside sidekick Stoppable (Will Friedle), computer genius Wade Load (Tahj Mowry), and of course, naked mole rat Rufus. The franchise has also released animated films with its original voice-over cast: Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time, Kim Possible: The Secret Files, and Kim Possible: So the Drama.

In May, Deadline reported that How I Met Your Mother alum Alyson Hannigan would be joining the reboot as Dr. Ann Possible, Kim’s brain surgeon mother. And in August, it was announced that Carlson Romano would be joining the cast, too. However, both actresses are also notably absent from the trailer.

Here’s hoping that our favorite naked mole rat makes his debut soon. In the meantime, we’ll be rewatching the nostalgic trailer on loop at Bueno Nacho over burritos. Disney’s live-action Kim Possible will air February 15th, 2019 on the Disney Channel.
