This little girl recreated Cara Delevingne’s silver shaved head after losing all her hair to chemo
Model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne turned heads at this year’s Met Gala when she arrived with her head shaved and painted silver. Now, a little girl who lost her hair to chemo is also turning heads with a Delevingne-inspired look that is taking the internet by storm.
Brooklyn is eight years old, and is currently battling her second Wilms’ tumor, a rare kidney cancer that primarily affects young children. After losing her hair to her cancer treatment, Brooklyn was treated to a professional makeover inspired by the one-and-only Cara Delevingne.
Family friend, Holly Leighton, shared Brooklyn's big reveal on Instagram."If you can't have hair, have glitter and diamonds," Leighton wrote.
Delevingne saw Brooklyn’s amazing recreation of her iconic Met Gala look and was quick to share her love for this amazing little girl.
"Brooklyn MY HERO! #brooklynourhero #whoneedshair," Delevingne captioned her repost.
We must admit, the Glamsquad Makeup Academy artist who transformed Brooklyn did an amazing job! She and Delevingne look like twins (give or take a few years, of course)!
Delevingne decided to go bald to better connect with her terminally ill character in her latest project, Life In A Year. Since shaving her head, Delevingne has been advocating for others to break the beauty molds and redefine beauty standards.
And it looks like her advocacy has hit home with Brooklyn, and we’re so glad it did.
Stay strong and keep fighting, Brooklyn! Beautiful, inspirational and courageous people like yourself and Cara Delevingne are making the world a more positive and welcoming place.
