OMG! This little girl opened her door, and the wind nearly blew her away
Being a kid comes with perks, but their tiny stature isn’t always one of them. Just look at how the wind treated this little girl who opened a door. Judging by the video clip of this little kid hanging on to a door for dear life, Mother Nature has zero mercy on tiny things — even human ones.
Obviously, windy weather doesn’t spare adults, either. We’ve all experienced those embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions that involve a skirt blowing up and exposing a butt to a crowd of strangers. And don’t even get us started on what the wind does to a hairstyle. Total humiliation about sums that up.
While we cringe at the memory of those wardrobe mishaps and all the times we struggled to make a wind-blown, ruffled dog’s fur-inspired hairdo look chic, none of those experiences are quite as terrifying as what happened to this little girl. Srsly, we don’t blame her if she never goes near another door again.
In the clip that her mom Brittany Gardner shared on Facebook, surveillance footage shows her 4-year-old daughter Madison innocently skipping up the steps to their home.
Just as she reaches out and grabs the door handle, the wind swings the door wide open, taking her with it.
Gardner added Frank Sinatra’s “Come Fly with Me” as background music for the video, which has nearly 600,000 views.
Sheesh! Despite nearly becoming a real-life Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, Brittany says Madison is fine and thought the entire situation was funny.
"She is totally OK," Brittany told FOX 8 Cleveland. "She was scared at first, then was laughing away at it. She held on until I took her off the handle."
We’ll admit that a tiny gasp-laugh might’ve escaped our lips while watching, but in all seriousness, we’re glad Madison was able to laugh this off. But we’re thinking the family might fare a little bit better with a heavier screen door.
