This little bookworm is given a tiny library, freakout that follows is the greatest

Little Free Libraries are taking over the world, one neighborhood at a time. Perhaps you’ve seen one in your neck of the woods. These cute little cubbyholes are places where people are invited to take a free book and leave one in return. Since the start of this grassroots literacy project in 2009, over 30,000 Little Free Libraries have sprung up around the world. One of the newest ones was just placed in Cleveland, Ohio, much to the delight of a little girl named Madison.

Madison is in the third grade, and she has some serious feelings about books and reading. At the grand opening of the Little Free Library, she was interviewed by WKYC Channel 3, and she blew everyone away with her enthusiasm.

We haven’t seen someone so in love with reading since, well, this happened:

Belle’s got nothing on Madison. We have a feeling that if the two of them met, she would loan Belle ALL the books.

Some literary-loving take aways from Madison’s interview:

“The world needs books!”

“What would the world be like without books? They fuel our minds like cars and gas. The cars can’t go without gas. Our brains can’t go without books.”

“It would break my heart if one book was lost. Just a page. Just a word. If just a letter was gone, I would be heartbroken.”

“WHAT WOULD THE WORLD DO WITHOUT BOOKS?”

Then she launches into a series of amazing metaphors, all said with the level of flair and charisma of a candidate running for political office. (Seriously, we would totally vote for Madison for President. America should be so lucky.)

Take a look at this impassioned bookworm in the video below. Then maybe walk away from the internet for a while and pick up a book. Just a suggestion.
