Listen to Harry Styles’ Bowie-esque debut solo single “Sign Of The Times”

It’s finally here, and we’re OBSESSED! Harry Styles has shared his debut solo single “Sign Of The Times,” and it’s absolutely massive.

The former One Direction boybander has been teasing the track for a couple of weeks. First he appeared on a cryptic TV commercial (much like fellow Brit singer Adele), then he shared three white squares to Instagram (something that appears to be a signature move for Harold), and finally he shared the artwork and title for his debut solo single, “Sign Of The Times.”

If that wasn’t enough, today (April 7th) Harry did something unusual: He premiered the song on radio rather than releasing it for streaming or download. Sitting down with his BFF Nick Grimshaw of BBC Radio 1’s breakfast show, Harry shared the song for the first time, something he likened to giving birth.

So, without further ado…

Well, what do you make of that?

Prior to the release of the single, Hits Double Daily reported that Styles’ solo music had been inspired by “the regal high-water mark of ’70s British rock,” with the publication noting that the singer had drawn influences from the likes of Bowie and Queen. In fact, listening to “Sign Of The Times,” we can totally hear those influences.

Following the song’s premiere, people on Twitter, understandably, lost it.

Meanwhile, Styles was recently spotted filming the music video for the track, and it accidentally turned into a hilarious meme.

The picture saw Styles being flung through the air, and of course the Internet had a field day.

Styles’ “Sign Of The Times” is available to stream and download now. His debut solo album is expected to release later this year.

And Harry will make his live solo debut on Saturday Night Live next week.
