This Just In: Lisa Rinna Is Leaving ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’
The former housewife won't be joining the ladies for season 13.
Someone call Denise Richards because there’s a diamond up for grabs! On Thursday, Jan. 6, Bravo announced via Instagram that after eight seasons Lisa Rinna will not be returning for season 13 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“After eight seasons of owning it, Lisa Rinna is departing #RHOBH. “I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series. It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!” 💎” Bravo captioned a photo of the former housewife.
The news isn’t entirely shocking. As fans may remember, Rinna’s contract with Bravo was up at the end of season 12 in 2022. Her cast mate (and now-former friend?) Kathy Hilton even accused Rinna at the reunion of stirring up unnecessary drama to increase her chances of being asked back.
Based on the trajectory of last season and Rinna’s awful behavior towards her castmates, many fans were assuming (and hoping) that would be the end of Rinna’s time on the reality series.

Nevertheless, Rinna held her head high through it all. She welcomed the hate, too, telling People at BravoCon 2022 that “I got booed! It was fabulous. I’m like a wrestler…the most famous wrestlers in the world get booed.”
Rinna confirmed her departure from the show in a statement to People: “This is the longest job I have held in my 35 year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series. It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!”
So, what’s next for Rinna?
Well, it’s ironic that Rinna says RHOBH is her longest job to-date because she’s had a clothing line with QVC for 12 years since 2011. A self-professed “lip pioneer,” she’s also the founder of Rinna Beauty, a cruelty-free and vegan beauty company that specializes in lipsticks and lip plumpers.
In August 2022, she also launched Rinna Wines (if you know, you know). The French Wine Collection offers Brut and Brut Rosé.
She and husband Harry Hamlin could also go into the food business together — perhaps they’ll start a line of pasta sauces? Or maybe she could ask “my friend Kendall Jenner” to get her a consulting gig at Kylie Cosmetics?
Whatever future endeavors Rinna pursues, I can guarantee this won’t be the last time we hear from her. As of this writing, Rinna herself has not publicly shared the news of her exit on social media.
