This Insta account shows the same lipstick on different skintones and it’s genius

It’s the eternal lipstick question: “Sure, that fire engine red looks great on YOU, Magazine Model Lady, but is it going to look halfway decent on ME?”
Beauty Instagrammers Piaget Ventus and Michelle Meredith are coming to the rescue. The ladies are behind the new beauty Instagram @willitlookgoodonmetho. The two have very different skin tones, and together, they show how different popular lipsticks look on very different women.
Here they are modeling Nars Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella. The ladies are clearly adept at rocking both the dramatic red lip AND the Blair Waldorf headband.
And here they are, pulling an “on Wednesdays we wear pink” with Revlon’s $5 Super Lustrous Lipstick in Stormy Pink. Hey, we have $5 around here somewhere!
If you’ve been wanting to try an out-there purple, the ladies have got you covered. Here they are modeling Stila Cosmetics Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Como.
And if you’re looking to try an even more out-there blue, Piaget and Michelle are here for you with NYX Cosmetic’s Wicked Lippie in Envy, a cool $6, which has us all thinking, “Hey, we could afford AND pull off a bold blue lip!”
In our opinion, the most bananas color the two try is this dark green number, LASplash Cosmetics LipTint Mousse in Komodo (Nagini).
Of course, Piaget and Michelle don’t represent every shade of skin, so you probably still have to haul butt to Sephora to do the smudge-on-the-back-of-the-hand test. But still, we are most grateful to these ladies for creating a follow-worthy account that shows how very different (and very awesome) the same shade can look on two very different (and very awesome) women.
