Linkin Park is putting on a Chester Bennington tribute concert, and here’s how you can get tickets
This year was a rough one for music fans. After losing Chris Cornell in May, Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington died by suicide in July. Even though Linkin Park was fronted by Bennington, the band decided to pay tribute by playing a show in his honor.
The show is one night only, and it’ll be held at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 27th. This tribute concert will mark the first time that the remaining bandmates have played together since Bennington’s passing, which we can imagine will be pretty difficult. However, we know that Bennington would have been touched by the gesture.
The band announced the news alongside a release of the new (and very emotional) video for their song “One More Light.”

"It has been incredibly emotional to work on this, and especially to watch it," director and Linkin Park member Joe Hahn said on YouTube. "I feel that by doing it, we not only faced some of our biggest fears, but it enabled us to use our talents to bring some light to people that need it. As we move forward to the Hollywood Bowl show and beyond, I think about the people that connect with the band, outside and inside our circle. This video is a gesture of goodwill to the people that want that connection."
As you can imagine, tickets — which will help benefit Music for Relief’s One More Light Fund in honor of the singer — will be going fast. The pre-sale starts tomorrow, September 19th, and will be available to the general public on sites like Ticketmaster on September 22nd. As it’s being advertised as “Linkin Park & Friends,” we have a good feeling that a lot of people close to Bennington will make sure to make an appearance.
