’90s nostalgia alert: Lindsay Lohan perfectly recreated a ‘Parent Trap’ moment

Lindsay Lohan decided to tug on our ’90s-loving heartstrings a day ago when she posted an Instagram of herself posing like her character(s) from The Parent Trap —and we can’t get over it. It’s been 17 years since The Parent Trap came out, and we can’t believe it (clearly Lindsay can’t either!).

The story behind the Parent Trap recreation? Well, Lindsay Lohan was relaxing at a spa retreat in Switzerland, when she (probably) said to herself, “I have a brilliant beyond brilliant idea. I’m serious!” Her skin was feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, so she snapped a pic to prove it. Then, she shared it on Instagram and made us SUPER nostalgic by casually relating it to one of our favorite movies ever.

The pic features LiLo in front of rustic-chic carnation and rose wallpaper (we dig the aesthetics, girl). She’s holding up her phone, which features a photo of her younger self as Hallie Parker/Annie James. She’s smiling sweetly and innocently, perfectly matching the expression of 12-year-old Lindsay. AWWW.

“Spa week really does wonders!” she captioned the pic, complete with kissy lips and #laprairieswitzerland and #theparenttrap.

And seriously —LiLo looks great and healthy and happy. Thanks for the throwback, LiLo!
