Lindsay Lohan opened up about why she’s not in a relationship

She’s taken herself out of the spotlight after moving overseas, but we’re still pretty invested in Lindsay Lohan’s love life. Probably because we’ve been following it since she was just a tween. (Let’s never forget her feud with Hilary Duff over Aaron Carter. Yes, that happened.)

Aside from Carter, Lohan has a pretty cool dating history. Notably dating Wilmer Valderrama and Samantha Ronson back in the day, she was most recently tied to Egor Tarabasov, who she was briefly engaged to. As Lohan has been starting to rebuild her career, it’d make sense if she felt the need to rebuild her love life, as well — but according to Lohan herself, that’s not entirely the case.

Currently living in Dubai, Lohan traveled back to New York City to see family for the holidays and hang out at Daily Mail‘s holiday party. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, she admitted that she was happily single. “I’m not in any relationship,” she said. “I don’t think anyone could be in a relationship with me because I’m never there all the time.”

Lohan, who mentioned that she’s talked to Tyra Banks about the possibility of appearing in Disney’s Life-Size 2, noted that she’s in a good place right now.

"I have good friends and good family, and I'm happy with myself," she said. After telling Entertainment Tonight that she'd like to have her own family someday, she mentioned that she's "focusing on what I really feel I want to do right now and I think is important to me."

We admire Lohan’s views on staying single.

Sometimes, the best thing we can do for ourselves is to focus on our own path without having a significant other to worry about. The most important thing is Lohan’s happiness.
