Lindsay Lohan has written “Mean Girls 2,” now she just needs someone to help her make it

In what is sure to be the fetch-est news you hear all day, Lindsay Lohan is working on Mean Girls 2.

Is there actually an upcoming Mean Girls 2, a sequel to the beloved and cherished OG Mean Girls of 2004? No. There is actually no Mean Girls 2  (and no, we’re not counting the made-for-tv movie, shhh). However, that isn’t going to stop Lindsay from working on the sequel regardless.

"I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2," Lindsay told CNN in a Facebook Live video. "It is not in my hands, and I know that Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels all of Paramount, everyone is very busy. But I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it."

Obviously, we want Mean Girls 2, too, but Lindsay actually takes her love for the movie even further. Instead of waiting around for someone else to go ahead and write Mean Girls 2, Lindsay has actually written it. For real.

"I've already written a treatment for it! And I just need a response!"

Now, a movie treatment is different from a full-fledged script, so all Lindsay has right now is just a basic outline for the plot of the movie. Someone else actually has to write all the dialogue and scenes and that fun stuff. But Lindsay is raring to go, and ready whenever everyone else is. She’s even got a dream cast in mind, and wants Jamie Lee Curtis (her co-star from Freaky Friday) and Jimmy Fallon to be in the movie. Okay…sure!

We’re always up for more Mean Girls, and we need something to do while we wait for Mean Girls: The Stage Musical. And hey, if Lindsay cares that much about checking in with Cady and Aaron Samuels, we’re ready for it. Lindsay is ready for it. Someone just needs to tell Tina Fey we need her back to add in the jokes.
